Dulhan Hui Ghodi Pe FARAAR!!!
“Paramparayein Hui Purani
Shuru Hua Naya Padaav
Ubhar Aaye Us Dabaav Se
Ek Nayi Subah Ke Saath
Dulhan Utre Ghodi Se,
Dulha Taake Raah.”
The Indian traditions have been the same since ages with a bit of change that we experience nowadays. But some traditions just keep us away from experimenting and sometimes, if we see from the other side, Equality.
Marriage is where a new relation begins which is not just with your husband or wife but with every member of the new family. Marriage is a relation or an institution while wedding is the procession which makes you recall every moment and every vow that you took during this procession.
Well, besides these complicated words, women tend to miss some fun during the most awaited celebration of their life; which is to find the soul mate. And wedding is that celebration. Wedding procession includes a live procession known as the Baraat. Usually! No let me correct myself! It’s always the groom who leads the baraat. Are you girls not jealous of that trend and tradition? Would it not be more fun if your to be husband stayed at his place and stood at the terrace, awaiting your arrival? So why not go on a different way and surprise everyone!
A daily show on Star Plus channel, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, has left the audience stunned. The lead couple of the show takes the sacred vows of wedding again but with a twist. This time the bride climbs the ghodi in her lehenga choli which was planned by the kids. With hesitation but encouragement of her husband, she finally gives in.
It can be a real fascinating scene seeing your to be wife riding a horse with the baraat and reaches your doorstep for the welcome. It is not just the horse that the bride can ride; she can even be driven in a vintage car, the famous Sholey scooter, an elephant ride. She can ride even a posh car or a fancy bike which can be a bullet or even a Harley Davidson. The bride can even be driven in a helicopter if they are ready to take all that it takes to amuse their hubby.
So, do not choose to fall out of the crowd and get the heads turned. It will definitely be one of a kind baraat procession.
“Doli ka tyaag
Ghodi ki lagaam
Jahan gir pada saara
Vahan ghodi chadi meri Jaan.”
