Also, ensure the food and drinks are properly arranged and keeps on energizing the enthusiasts.
2) Keep it a day or two before the wedding
Since the participation of people from both the sides is required, the Sangeet Sandhya is ideally held a day or two before the nuptial. When you pick a date for the Sangeet, make sure it is at least two days before the wedding day, as it is common for family members to sing and dance late into the night. As a result, the bride and groom need to catch up on their sleep so that they can be fresh and relaxed for the wedding ceremony.

Half the time the people who dance the best on either side take up the responsibility of planning the performances, the people and the songs. Though you don’t need to perform professionally, but hiring a choreographer would be a good choice as he / she puts that extra effort to extract the talent from you. Interact with the choreographer and take suggestions as to how to organize the event effectively.
4) Determine your budget
Sangeet can be an expensive affair. In most communities at least 2 to 3 lakhs and upwards amount is spent on it, so ensure that it is well planned financially and all provisions are made for it. After all, fun doesn’t come free!

Choose songs that suit the occasion are either very romantic or aimed at teasing the to-be-weds. Do not choose any such song that would not go down well with any of the persons present.
6) Make arrangements at the venue:
Speak to the facilities manager at the venue to find out about the various inclusions in the party package. Check if the Open Lawns / banquet hall has an area where the dance or songs can be performed. Arrange for a stage or a dance floor to be set up and for the venue to be decorated. Also take a list from the manager as to what all things are included in the Package.
7) Organised the entertainment:
Assign the task of coordinating the dance, songs and skit to one of the person in the family. He / She will coordinate with the other people and put together the entertainment for the Sangeet function. Besides the informal entertainment by the family, you can also arrange for a DJ to perform at the event. Now a days it is mandatory to hire a DJ for this event. Also be sure to take permission from local police Station to avoid any further troubles.
8) Reconfirm all arrangements:
A few days before the function, get in contact with the facilities manager of the venue so that he can make arrangements accordingly. Check with the family entertainers if they are well rehearsed for the event.
